LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce the release of the full show schedule for its flagship conference, set for Jan. 3-6, marking the event’s highly anticipated in-person return.

Presented by premier cam network Chaturbate, XBIZ 2022 will offer an expanded educational program examining the latest trends throughout adult, along with a lineup of networking activities and exclusive special events.

The upcoming edition of the conference takes over the Kimpton Everly Hotel in Hollywood for four action-packed days, followed by the creator-first fan show X3 Expo Jan. 7-8 and the 2022 XBIZ Awards on Jan. 9.

From content creation to interactive entertainment, pro talent to indie artists and beyond, XBIZ 2022 will feature up to three tracks each day uniquely-tailored to the diverse array of attendees.

On Monday, Jan. 3, the adult community’s long-awaited in-person reunion gets underway with a “Welcome Back Happy Hour” sponsored by G&B Law and APAG. The mixer will offer a chance to catch up and talk shop with industry peers and newcomer entrepreneurs alike and afterwards the hotel bar and lounge will serve as ground zero for plenty more networking opportunities for early arrivals.

On Tuesday, Jan. 4, the Tech track kicks off with a trio of sessions presented by YourPaysitePartner. The first, “Need for Feed: Becoming a Top Gun on Fan Platforms” will deliver just what it promises: a leg up in mastering feed-based subscription platforms. That’s followed by “Premium Destinations: Earning Your Paysite Payday,” where you can expect to glean the latest strategies for driving traffic, maximizing conversions and retaining members. Then, “Billing and Payment Processing: 2022 and Beyond” will help you track the ever-shifting bank and credit card regs. The track is capped off by “Anti-Porn Activism in a Pro-Sex World,” a Mindbrowse symposium on staying productive amidst an often confusing social climate where adult entertainment and sex work seem to be both increasingly accepted and increasingly stigmatized.

Meanwhile on the Talent track, Tuesday’s roster of creator/performer-oriented programming is brought to you by ePlay. The track begins with “Content: Studios, Directors & Production,” where top producers will share updates on production issues in a post-quarantine world and talk about genres and trends to watch in the coming year. Then it’s onto “Creator Services: We Got Your Back,” which will delve into building personal websites, managing and automating content publishing, internet marketing and more. Next up, “XBIZ Performers of the Year: 2022 Edition” will spotlight top performers revealing their road to stardom and commercial success. The Talent track wraps up with “Income Streams: Finding the Right Platforms for Your Content,” where panelists will discuss income diversification and strategies for thriving in a saturated market.

Over on the Workshop track, Tuesday starts off with “Creating an Environment for Personal Success” — a recipe for personal “best practices” to help creators navigate the industry long-term, hosted by ePlay. Next up is “Organizing and Advocacy in the Industry,” presented by APAG, which will examine occupational discrimination and how it can be addressed effectively. Afterwards, Streamate’s “Professional Boundaries, Business and You” will take a look at balancing intimate online fan relationships with safe and appropriate personal boundaries. Finally, the NMG-hosted “Meeting of the Minds” will offer performers the chance to share business lessons and strategies unique to adult.

Tuesday’s end-of-the-day keynote address, “Mastering the Art of Maximizing Content Revenues,” will be presented by NMG Management’s Megan Stokes, whose 20-plus-year career spans every facet of content monetization.

Beyond panels and workshops, the afternoon schedule will feature the “Segpay Happy Hour Mixer,” which will serve up a blend of business and networking fun, along with the return of the perennially popular XBIZ Winter Wonderland lingerie and pajama party at Hollywood hotspot Madera, sponsored by Playboy and Adult Time.

Wednesday features three sessions sponsored by YourPaysitePartner, leading off with “Camming Confidential: Inside Tips from Industry Pros,” featuring experts from top cam networks offering the inside scoop on the latest advances in interactive entertainment. Afterwards, join journalists and media experts for the session “Media Coverage of the Adult Industry: The Good, the Bad and the Challenging,” which will take a look at information, disinformation and the unusual challenges of reporting on the industry. Following that is “Legal Outlook: Hot-Button Issues in Adult,” featuring an esteemed team of industry attorneys providing the lowdown on the latest and most pressing issues in adult. The Talent track on Wednesday offers a double-bill, starting with “Pineapple Support Presents: New Year, Same You?” hosted by therapist Nicoletta Heidegger discussing life strategies for adult pros. Then it’s “Getting Past ‘Us/Them’: Community Connections in 2022,” sponsored by ePlay; this session takes on the important issue of how the sometimes-tricky relationship between adult performers/creators and business service providers can threaten industry unity, and what the community response should be.

Wednesday’s Workshop track showcases law, advocacy and female business leaders. It begins with “Level Up: Law, Resources & Reality for Content Creators,” sponsored by Silverstein Legal, which will provide advice on bank and processing compliance, plus other legal issues facing creators. Then, Chaturbate presents “Knowledge is Power — Advocating for Your Adult Business,” where front-line defenders of adult talk about FOSTA, banking and credit-card issues, mental health, COVID and more. Finally, “Women in Adult: Meeting of the Minds,” also sponsored by Chaturbate, brings together female execs to share unique perspectives on the adult industry.

The final session “State of the Industry: 2022 New Year Edition,” sponsored by YourPaysitePartner, will feature top industry leaders sizing up the trends, market shifts and opportunities currently facing adult, as well as sharing their take on emerging trends and challenges.

Wednesday’s keynote speaker is three-time XBIZ Director of the Year Kayden Kross. With her presentation “Deeper, Better and Stronger Than Ever,” she will share her perspective and experiences with Vixen Media Group, along with advice on creating award-winning media.

On Wednesday evening, the annual XBIZ Honors awards ceremony will recognize excellence among industry leaders and present select categories from the flagship 2022 XBIZ Awards. This is a ticketed event; to attend, contact events@xbiz.com.

Thursday concludes with symposiums covering two areas of focus: a series of Free Speech Coalition sessions on legislation, health, dealing with media and other hot-button issues; and a pair of sessions on tech and content creation through the lens of the gay/queer adult industry.

Thursday morning, the session “Porn Under Attack: Recent Legislation Explained” features the Free Speech Coalition’s Legislative Committee, explaining the latest government actions against adult and FSC’s strategy for defending the industry. Then, “PASS: The State of Health in the Industry” will examine current health issues including the pandemic. “FSC Town Hall Q&A” will facilitate community dialogue on important issues in adult, from STI testing to banking discrimination. Finally, a “Media Training Workshop” will assist members of the adult community who wish to engage effectively with mainstream media.

As for the pair of sessions highlighting the LGBTQ+ adult community, “Gay Business: The New Web/Tech Landscape” will examine the queer paysite market and “Gay Business: The New Landscape for Content Creation” will consider how queer/LGBTQ+ performers fit into the broader industry, among other topics.

“Our lineup for XBIZ 2022 would make it a great show in any given year, but the added bonus of getting to reconnect with so many friends and colleagues after so long makes this year’s show feel so much more special,” XBIZ Events Director Moe Helmy said. “Not only do we get to deliver the kind of diverse and expansive programming the industry has come to expect from our flagship conference, but we also get to play host to what is, for many of us, a much-needed family reunion.”

The day after XBIZ 2022 concludes, the inaugural fan show X3 Expo will take place at the Hollywood Palladium on Jan. 7-8.

Finally, Jan. 9 will mark the in-person return of the adult industry’s biggest night: the 2022 XBIZ Awards, presented by ManyVids and hosted by Maitland Ward.
